QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager for a detailed report on the council’s efforts to secure completion of the taking-in-charge of the roads and drains at Larkfield and to further advise on the outstanding steps required to be completed to permit the taking-in-charge to be completed?

REPLY:

Following discussions with the bondholder, the developer returned to the site and completed minor works and submitted CCTV surveys.  The Council has reviewed the CCTV and the underground services have been approved.  The significant issues at present are wayleaves for the Council to access services in both a square area to the front of the development operated by a management company and gaining access to a public lighting standard and underground services resulting from the enclosure of such services in areas enclosed by boundary walls of residents properties.

A meeting has been arranged with the Law Department for week commencing the 23rd April 2012 to progress issues in respect of the Taking-in-Charge of Larkfield.
