MOTION NO. 10
MOTION: Councillor B. Bonner
Cathaoirleach's Business
That this Committee recommends that the Village centre and Woodford areas of Clondalkin would be supplied with more litter bins. They are needed particularly at the following locations.
1. At the bus stop outside Tesco on the Convent Road.
2. At the bus stops on both sides of the road at Boomers Pub in Woodford
3. At the two bus stops at Orchard Lane.
REPORT:
The Senior Executive Engineer and the Area Engineer visited Clondalkin to examine the areas described.
1.There is a large footfall in the vicinity of the bus stop at Tesco on Convent Road and a bin will be installed at this location to collect waste from those standing at the stop and those passing through this area.
2.There have been regular reports of waste in the Woodford area and there are litter bins on this roadway. The cleansing staff will inspect the area to determine what additional bins are required.
3. The Cleansing Staff will inspect the area, in particular those areas close to the bus stops to determine the best locations for litter bins.
