QUESTION: Councillor T. Delaney

To ask the Manager for a report on the ownership and planned action regarding the stone walling damaged recently at the Nangor Road entrance to the Mill Centre?

REPLY:

A complaint was received in Architectural Services on 26th March last in relation to this wall.  The wall was subsequently inspected by the Council's Dangerous Buildings Inspector on the 27th March.  The Inspector reports that the wall in question appears to have been impacted by a large vehicle of sorts causing serious damage.  The Council's Development Department have been requested to ascertain who the registered owners of the wall  in question are, as a matter of urgency.  When this information is to hand, a letter will issue to those responsible, outlining the Council's requirements to make safe the area in question.
