MOTION: Councillor E. Coburn

"That this Committee discuss with the aid of a report the progress to date by the Law Agent in relation to the transfer of lands at the Stocking Wood developments and the impact this will have on the development of the recreational space in the surrounding estates in this area."

REPORT:

As reported to the March Area Commitee : legal issues have arisen regarding land transfer issues during the discussions with the Developer, the matter has been referred to the Council’s Law Agent. The Law Agent has been in correspondence with the developers solicitor and the Elected Members will be informed in relation to progress in this regard. In the meantime, the Council will continue to engage with the developers with the objective of agreeing an overall landscape plan for the open space.

The Law Agent has been requested to follow up contacts in this regard with the developers legal representatives. Given the legal sensitivities relating to these contacts, it would not be appropriate to comment further but, as indicated above, members will be kept informed of progress in this regard.
