MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Council examine the possibility of utilising the Structures at Risk Fund for remedial and upgrade works for Ely Arch, Dodder Park Road."

REPORT:

We have recently received information on the “Structures At Risk Fund 2012” from the council’s Conservation Officer, and the Roman Arch, also known as  Lord Ely’s Gate will be considered for suitability. It is noted that the available funding has been reduced and the eligibility criteria have been tightened from the former Civic Structures Grant Scheme, which has now been superseded. The Architectural Services Department will advise the Parks and Landscape Services accordingly.
