SDCC REPRESENTATION ON BOARD OF DODDER VALLEY PARTNERSHIP

REPLY:

The following report was presented to the Organisation, Procedure and Finance Meeting on 22nd March 2012:

"Correspondence has recently been received from Dodder Valley Partnership outlining that the term of the current Directors of the Board, including SDCC representatives is due to expire on 21st March 2012.

SDCC has rights to 4 places on the board and they are currently filled as follows:

• Cllr Mick Duff
• Cllr Pamela Kearns
• Cllr Eamon Walsh
• VACANT (Cllr Colm Brophy)

It is now before the committee to make recommendation on renominations / nomination in respect of these four positions.   In considering the nominations regard should be given to previous correspondence from DVP which requested that the Council consider nominating Councillors from the Tallaght Central, Tallaght South & Rathfarnham (formerly Terenure / Rathfarnham) areas to the Partnership."  End of Report to OP&F.

During the OP&F meeting Councillor E Walsh tendered his resignation and it was proposed by  Councillor C. King, seconded by Councillor C. Brophy and RESOLVED:

“That Councillor P. Cosgrave be nominated to fill the vacancy created by Councillor Brophy's resignation, and that Councillors M. Duff and P. Kearns be re-nominated to fill two of the three other positions on the Board of the Dodder Valley Partnership for the upcoming term of office, with the last position to be filled at a subsequent meeting.”

This matter is now before the Council for final approval.
