MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Manager examine Dodder Park Road with a view to identifying possible measures to help reduce speed on behalf of very concerned local residents."

REPORT:

At the Deputation Meeting held on 22nd February 2012 with Dodder Community Residents Association, the issue of speeding on Dodder Park Road was discussed.  It is noted that a pedestrian crossing has been provided on this road together with speed limit repeater signs.  The Council is currently investigating, subject to the availability of funding, the feasibility of installing a VMS sign on this road which displays the speed of passing vehicles.  In the meantime, the issue of speeding on this road has been referred to the Gardai for enforcement.
