MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

That the Manager investigate the monthly recyclable ‘drop off’ facilities offered by other County Councils and advise as to the feasibility of providing such a service in Lucan and Palmerston within the Dublin guidelines on waste collection.

REPORT:

Details of mobile recycling facilities currently in operation in other Local Authorities in the Greater Dublin region will be requested together with the costs of operation and how they are funded.

The feasibility or otherwise of the provision of such facilities in Lucan and Palmerston and the County generally has been reported on in replies provided for both Q.10 of the Lucan Area Committee Meeting in February and Motion 13 of this month's Council Meeting.
