QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
To ask the Manager for an update on the actions carried out to date and/or planned by the Parks and Landscaping Department in response to issues raised by the Kew Park Residents Association at the November 2011 deputation meeting?
REPLY:
The following works were undertaken in relation to trees in Kew Park following the deputation meeting:
Location | Request | Action |
26 Kew Park Ave | Tree blocking light at back of house. Prune/Remove | Tree is in a private garden. Matter for owner of property. |
57 Kew Park | Request to prune tree | This was pruned by the ESB. |
34 / 35 Kew Park Ave | Request to remove tree blocking street light | The resident in 34 does not want it removed. Pruning is not possible in this instance. Will be reviewed in Autumn 2012. |
53 Kew Park Ave | Request to remove Cherry | The tree is in good condition and does not require removal. |
In relation to securing the access from the open space onto Celbridge Road the Parks Section is liaising with the Water & Drainage Section regarding what works are possible in the vicinity of the manhole chamber. Once this has been established the works to secure this access will proceed.
