Review of Surface Water Drains at Esker Lane

REPORT:

The following works have been carried out in the Lucan area following minor flooding after the deluge on the 24^th of October 2011:-

1. A lockable cover was put on the surface water manhole on the main road outside Courtney’s pub in Lucan Village.
2. A tarred over gully on the east side of Esker Lane at the first bungalow as you come off the Lucan Road at the entrance to St. Edmundsbury Hospital was uncovered. The surface water outfall for the surface water system on Esker Lane (The bungalows/ Woodville) behind the wall at the entrance to St. Edmundsbury Hospital was dug out and the ditch here cleaned out. The whole surface water system including gullys was flushed and jetted and is now free flowing.
