Mayors Business

That this Council calls on the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to urgently address the regulation of the domestic waste collection market and to initiate a national waiver scheme.             

REPORT:

It is understood that the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Governement is engaging with the private sector operators on this matter and that progress on a National Waiver Scheme is imminent.

Should the motion be passed, the content will be referred to the Minister.
