QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

To ask the Manager to provide a report on the practical assistance, support and initiatives provided on a standalone or partner basis by SDCC in (a) maintaining and (b) growing employment in the County, subdivided on a sectoral basis?

REPLY:

The Councils ongoing "Sustaining and Developing Business" programme provides for a co-ordinated approach to supporting business and employment in the County. This programme is updated and presented on a Monthly basis to the CPG & CDB. See report here. It should be noted that the entire progarmme is based on an interagency approach but Outcome 5 :( Business development supports are maximised South Dublin County ) deals particularly with the role of local groups/organisations.
