QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager for a detailed update on proposals to improve cycle-path provision at Willsbrook Road, including plans for consultation with any local residents who may be directly affected by provision of a new cycle-path outside their homes?

REPLY:

Consultants have been engaged to prepare a cycle path design to the New Cycle Manual Standards along the Willsbrook Road.  At present a topographical survey and traffic counts are being carried out along the route. The next stage is to prepare an Options report and seek approval from the NTA for the design.  As part of the process all stakeholders including the householders affected will be consulted.
