QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy
To ask the Manager if he can indicate a timescale for drawing up and or amending bye-laws to address problems arising in Lucan Village associated with the existing "informal" Taxi Rank, and the waiting of taxis on the roadway outside the houses in Sarsfield and Vesey Terraces and The Square, Lucan and if he will make a statement on the matter?
REPLY:
Draft Taxi Bye-Laws have been drawn up and were brought to the Transportation SPC on Thursday the 23rd February for discussion and agreement. Further to this the Bye-Laws will be brought to the Council for adoption and then to the Area Committees for further discussion and deliberation on the appropriate location of Taxi -Stands. The adoption of the Taxi Bye-Laws is a reserved function of the Council.
