QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

To ask the Manager if he can report on the number of tenants' houses/flats which have had replacement windows/doors fitted under the Windows Replacement Programme in 2011 and 2010 in the Lucan Electoral Area?

REPLY:

The window programme commenced two years ago.  12 houses were completed in the first year in the Lucan Area, which represented 6% of the total completions of 203.  A further 6 were completed last year, which represented 3% of the total completions of 193.  An allocation of €1 million has again been received this year for replacement of windows and doors on a countywide basis.  A further 20 have been examined, 18 of these are graded 5.  There are 11 on the list for examination and grading.  Replacements are carried out in date order of application and either a clear rent account or on an arrangement for a period of 6 months to clear the arrears and no anti-social record.
