QUESTION: Councillor E. Higgins

To ask the Manager to allocate resources to the regular cutting of the grass median, along the N4, under the funding provided by the NRA, for the maintenance of national routes?

REPLY:

The grass was cut on one occasion on the N4 at Palmerston in 2011 using funding for the Queen's visit. The NRA allocation for National Primary Maintenance is reduced in 2012 from €76,765 to €69,051.  Roads will endeavour to carry out one cut this year.
