MOTION: Councillor C. Jones

That this Committee will address the concerns of residents in Foxborough at the planning application for a “fast food” outlet in the neighbourhood shopping area.

REPORT:

A planning application was made to South Dublin County Council on 30^th January ’12 for a change of use of part of the ground floor (40sq.m) of Centra Foodstore, Foxborough Road, Lucan from ancillary retail use (i.e. coldroom and storage) to retail use for purposes of extending deli/foodbar area.  Permission is also sought for alteration to existing west elevation shopfront to include additional door.

This application is currently under consideration.  Submissions may be made to the Planning Authority until 2^nd March ’12.  A decision is due on this application on or before 23^rd March ’12.
