QUESTION NO. 15

QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner

To ask the Manager what progress has been made in relation to the issue of flooding in Cappaghmore, Clondalkin following my membersrep on behalf of a resident living in Cappaghmore who experienced severe problems after the flooding in October?

REPLY:

The Drainage Maintenance Section has carried out a detailed survey of the drain in the back gardens of some of the houses in Cappaghmore Estate along the canal and hopefully has identified the likely cause of the problem.  However, the works planned to alleviate this problem can only be undertaken in the summer months when the water levels have been substantially reduced.
