QUESTION: Councillor T. Gilligan

To ask the Manager to clarify if there are any data protection issues with customers' private personal information within the Clondalkin, Saggart, Newcastle, Rathcoole and Brittas areas being transferred to Greyhound Recycling as there is now a probe into the transfer of information from Dublin City Council to Greyhound Recycling?

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council took every precaution and ensured that the transfer of customer data was carried out in accordance and compliance with the Data Protection Act. There are no issues arising from the sale of this Council's service.

South Dublin County Council is not in a position to comment on any issues relating to Dublin City Council.
