MOTION: Councillor T. Delaney

That the Manager arranges that the grass area at the corner of Fonthill/Ninth Lock Roads (village side) be given a landscaping makeover with the addition of some shrubbery, trees and a permanent footpath to replace the 'loose' stone pathway installed last year.

REPORT:

The provision of additional ornamental planting to enhance the newly landscaped area at the junction of the Fonthill/Ninth Lock Roads will be examined, with a view to having this work carried out before the end of the current planting season i.e. end March 2012. The provision of a tarmacadam surface on the existing footpath which traverses the site will also be examined, however this would be subject to the availability of the necessary funding.
