QUESTION: Councillor C. Bond

To ask the Manager if he has been given any indication as to any proposed changes to or amalgamations of local authorities in the Dublin Region?

REPLY:

The Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government has not given any indication as to any proposed changes to or amalgamations of local authorities in the Dublin Region.

It is noted that local government reform is specifically highlighted in the Programme for Government 2011 and reference to this has also been made in the report of the Local Government Efficiency Review Group.
