QUESTION NO. 25
QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy
To ask the Manager if he can indicate how many persons/families have made application under the Applicant Sourced Housing scheme since the scheme, how many have been allocated housing, and how many applications are currently being processed?
REPLY:
To date the Council has received 101 applications under the Applicant Sourced Homes Scheme(ASH) of which lease terms have been agreed in 26 cases and the properties have been tenanted. A further 10 cases are currently in process. The remaining applications did not proceed to date due to not being in a position to agree terms with the property owner or the property failed to meet leasing standards.
A further rollout of the ASH programme to persons on the housing list is scheduled to commence shortly in tandem with Choice Based Letting as mechanisms in the provision of social housing.
