VACANCY ON DUBLIN REGIONAL AUTHORITY (Councillor M. Devine)

REPORT:

The following report was presented to the Members at the Organisation, Procedure & Finance Committee Meeting held on 26th January 2012:

"The Dublin Regional Authority consists of a Board of 31 elected representatives nominated from the four Dublin local authorities operating within the Dublin Region.

South Dublin County Council is represented on the Dublin Regional Authority as follows:

• Cllr. Máire Devine (Sinn Féin)
• Cllr Pamela Kearns (Labour)
• Cllr Brian Lawlor (Fine Gael)
• Cllr Guss O'Connell (Non Party)
• Cllr Eamon Walsh (Fianna Fail)

Councillor Devine has recently given notification of her resignation from the Regional Authority and it is now a matter for this Council to nominate a replacement to fill the vacancy."  End of Report to OP&F.

It was proposed by Councillor M. Devine, seconded by Councillor B. Lawlor and AGREED:

“That Councillor C. King be nominated to fill the vacancy on the Dublin Regional Authority arising from Councillor Devine’s resignation”.

This matter is now before the Council for approval.
