QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager to report on the measures to be progressed during 2012 to reduce or prevent incidence of anti-social behaviour at the Esker between Moy Glas and Castle Riada Estates?

REPLY:

A number of additional solutions to include the possible erection of a palisade gate to prevent access to the small tarmaced area, grassing of that area and some additional measures to prevent access from the Outer Ring Road are currently being examined by the Park's Department in consultation with the Road's Department, SDCC.

The Council's Parks Department has now completed  the pruning of the beech hedge from the top of The Esker in the vicinity of Moy Glas Green and arrangements are in hand for the removal of the old fence posts at this location.
