QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor G. O'Connell
To ask the Manger for a progress report on the water pipes in Council management within the Lucan / Palmerston area that froze over during last Winter's big freeze and to state if they have all been attended to?
REPLY:
The Water Maintenance records show that 43 water services froze during last winter's big freeze due to them being laid too shallow with 26 in the Lucan Area and 17 in the Palmerston area. Of these 43 water service, Water Maintenance has dug up and lowered 7 during 2011 with 3 done in Lucan and 4 in Palmerston. This work is on-going and as resources are available will continue to be done.
