MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

That the Manager notes Question 11 on the Agenda of the October 2011 Lucan Area Committee Meeting, also notes that the location which was intended to be addressed in the Question was at the traffic signals on Kennelsfort Road, between the entrance to Woodfarm Acres and the N4/Kennelsfort Junction, opposite the cut into Palmerstown Avenue, and if he will again consider the request to examine safety issues there and to make a report on the matter.  

REPORT:

The location is a single carriageway road with traffic calming and pedestrian facilities in place. The footpaths are generally in good condition and the verges are paved and are used for off street parking. Visibility is good.  No issues beyond normal suburban conditions were noted. If the Councillor has any specific issues these can be examined.
