MOTION NO. 7

MOTION: Councillor T. Ridge

That the Manager reports on 1A, St Patrick's Road, Clondalkin, in view of the long delay in selling this house, the upper window is broken and is attracting unwanted attention. This matter can be resolved legally in view of the stalemate situation.

REPORT:

As the Councillors will be aware the Council has been endeavouring to acquire title to a small strip of land which has been included in the house site at 1A St. Patrick's Road.  To date the Council has been unsuccessful in acquiring the land by agreement and is now reviewing any other options available in conjunction with the Council's Law Agent,  to progress the matter and enable the house to be occupied. Separately, the Development Department has written to the registered owner of the land seeking a further meeting in an attempt to resolve the matter and is awaiting a response.

The broken window has since been replaced and the Council will continue to monitor the property and carry out any necessary maintenance works, as required.
