That this Committee commends the Park's Department and all relevant personnel for another fantastic Christmas Wonderland event in Corkagh Park.

REPORT:

The Winter Wonderland Event held in Corkagh Park on Sunday 18th December 2011 last, proved to be a great success attracting approx. 7000 visitors to the Park. The weather on the day was particularly suitable and the advanced ticketing system and free flow arrangement of the Wonderland Walk ensured that queuing times could be controlled. The Council wishes to acknowledge the assistance and support of Council staff, Gardaí, Civil Defence, and external contractors and volunteers in the staging of this event.
