QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"To ask the Manager to supply salt/grit for and salt/grit bins provided by Residents Assocations out of their own resources where they are secured with a lock and keyholders identified?"

REPLY:

A pilot project of salt bins is underway consisting of 3 locations in each of the electoral areas.

The 3 locations in Rathfarnham are :

Woodstown Park; Moyville; Palmer Park/Pearse Brothers Park.

If the pilot project is successful, consideration will be given to expanding it in 2012/2013.

Salt will only be supplied to the bins in the pilot areas.
