MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart

"That the Manager ensures that drainage engineers call to (address supplied) to witness the damage caused by two overflowing sewers outside the house and to report on what steps will be taken to remediate the problem."

REPORT:

The Drainage Section has been unable to contact anybody at the address supplied in Knocklyon Avenue but a card has been left with SDCC contact details.  Work was carried out near this location on the sewers a number of years ago and since that time this is the first flooding incident of note.  The Drainage Section feel that this incident was a once off due to the intensity of rainfall over a short period on the 26th October 2011 and is unlikely to reoccur.
