"To ask the Manager what the arrangements are for the collection of Christmas Trees and what locations will be used by the Council in Rathfarnham and to state whether Dublin City Council is also proceeding with this service?"
REPLY:
The following notice will be advertised shortly to inform the public of the proposed recycling scheme for Christmas Trees in January 2012. Included in the notice are two sites in the Rathfarnham Electoral Area in Firhouse and Rathfarnham.
The Council has also been informed that a Christmas Tree recycling scheme is also to take place in the Dublin City Council area.
RECYCLING OF CHRISTMAS TREES 2012
From Friday 6th January to Saturday 14th January 2012, the public are invited to bring their Christmas Trees to the locations below and have them recycled. Please note that these facilities are for domestic household trees only and not for commercial operators. One tree will be accepted per household.
