QUESTION NO. 11
QUESTION: Councillor P. Cosgrave
"To ask the Manager to give a report on the speed ramps on Marian Road. The ramps are in need of renewal. At the recent A.G.M. of the Butterfield District Residents Association a request was made for their complete removal. Could the association be contacted to discuss the problem?
REPLY:
In 2006 following extensive public consultation the Council installed traffic calming measures in the Butterfield area of Rathfarnham. This scheme included the installation of a number of traffic calming ramps on Marian Road. These measures were provided to combat the issue of speeding in the area.
Temporary repairs have been carried out on the Marian Road ramps. However, the renewal of the ramps have been included on the Area Engineer's programme for 2012.
