 2.         Matters Arising  -  None

3.         Community Grants Review - 

Billy Coman outlined details of a recent  review of the current Grants Scheme to the members. B Coman explained that it would be appropriate that some members of the SPC  join the Grants Scheme Review Committee with a view to bringing a completed review before the full Council in March / April 2012. Following a discussion, the following SPC members agreed to join the Review Group:  Cathal King, Mick Duff  Sean Reid and Tony Delaney .

4.       Play Policy – Paula Swayne Sport & Recreation Officer.

Paula outlined the Play Policy Review and what it would entail. She mentioned a few objectives that would be likely to be considered in the course of the review.  Several of the members took part in a discussion on play-related issues and it was agreed that the following members would be part of the Play Policy Review Group: Cathal King, Dermot Looney, Emer Higgins, Cecil Johnson and Carmel McCartney.   

 5.      Tallaght Stadium Business  Plan 

Willie  Sheils  gave a presentation which gave an overview of the background to the construction of Tallaght Stadium and the range and type of events that it has hosted since it opened in March 2009, as well as the main elements of the Business Plan for the Stadium.

 A discussion followed and several questions were answered by Billy Coman   and Willie Sheils

 6.       Development at  Jobstown Park – item not reached .
