REPLY:
2012 – Bliain na Síneach don Dragan
Ní dhearna Comhairle Contae Átha Cliath Theas Bliain Nua na Síneach a mharcáil go dtí seo. Ach le gairid, tháinig ionadaí chugainn Ó Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Thamhlachta, ar son na mic léinn Ó Ollscoil Naching, sa tSín, atá ag staidéar faoi láthair san Institiúid.
Tá meitheal idir-rannach curtha le cheile chun fiosrú a dhéanamh ar na féidearthachtaí le clár imeachtaí a chur le chéile chun ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar Bhliain Nua na Síneach agus beidh siad i dteagmháil leis na mic léinn agus an pobal Síneach i gcoitinne anseo i gContae Átha Cliath Theas maidir le clár ceiliúrtha a fhorbairt.
2012 is the Chinese Year of the Dragon.
South Dublin County Council has not historically marked the Chinese New Year but the Council has recently been approached by a representative from the IT Tallaght on behalf of students from the University of Nanching , in China who are currently studying in the Institute.
An inter-departmental working group has been established to explore a possible programme of events to celebrate the 2012 Chinese New Year and will be liaising with the students and the wider Chinese Irish community here in South Dublin County around the development of a celebratory programme.
