MOTION: Councillor J. Hannon

That urgent action be taken by the Council to carry out repairs to perimeter and other walls that are not the private property or responsibility of householders in Ellensborough Estate, as such walls are in a potentially hazardous condition with bricks falling down.

REPORT:

The walls at the Ellensborough Estate have been inspected by Roads Department staff. The walls were found to be in generally good condition. There are capping bricks missing at a small number of locations and also some plaster / dashing has flaked off walls. There were no areas of immediate concern in relation to health and safety of the public. Roads Department will monitor the location and necessary repairs will be carried out subject to prioritisation and availability of resources.
