MOTION NO. 11

MOTION: Councillor J. Lahart "That this Committee approves of the provision of Salt Boxes for Prospect Manor and Orlagh Grove estates, along with the other estates included in the recent list circulated to Members."

REPORT:

At the SPC meeting held on 19th May 2011, it was decided to initiate a pilot project of 3 salt bins in each of the 5 electoral areas.The locations were chosen based on the Area Engineer's experiences last winter and correspondence from resident groups.

The 3 locations chosen  in the Rathfarnham Area are:

Woodstown Park
Moyville
Palmer Park/ Pearse Brother Park.

Depending on the outcome of the pilot scheme, the estates mentioned  by the Councillor can be considered in the future.
