QUESTION NO. 11
QUESTION: Councillor E. Tuffy
To ask the Manager if he will request the Road's Department to carry out an investigation of potential risks to pedestrians, including schoolchildren and residents of Stewart's Hospital, in using the footpaths to access the footbridge at the N4/Kennelsfort junction, including pedestrian lights at the lower end of Kennelsfort Road and make a report on the matter?
REPLY:
The area in question has been inspected and no issues were noted. The pedestrian crossing facilities were recently altered to prevent at grade crossing of pedestrians on the N4 by directing them to the pedestrian bridge. If there are any particular issues which can be identified these will be further examined.
