MOTION NO. 11
MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
That this Committee requests the Manager to expedite the long-awaited taking-in-charge of the large grassed area along the access road from Griffeen Avenue to Rossberry, Tullyhall and Hayden's Park Estates.
REPORT:
The report presented to the September 2011 Lucan Area Committee Meeting on this matter was as follows:
“The Developer for this area has indicated that the process of transferring the land along the access road from Griffeen Avenue will be expedited as soon as possible. In order to make progress on the matter the Council is preparing the necessary mapping documents and the Developer’s solicitor is preparing the Deed of Transfer documents. It is anticipated that the Deed of Transfer documentation will be completed by December 2011. In the meantime the developer has been requested to continue with the grass cutting of this open space area.”
In order to progress the matter a meeting has been arranged with the three developers who have an involvement in this area (in terms of clarifying Folio maps and land ownerships) and which it is hoped will expedite the processing of the transfer of the land to the Council for formal Taking in Charge. This meeting is due to take place on the 26th October 2011.
The Elected Members will be updated on progress or otherwise arising from the meeting.
