QUESTION NO. 1

QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner

To ask the Manager, In the light of the response to my question last month in relation to the trees between Lealand Walk and Lealand Close, if they are to be preserved as part of the traditional hedgerow, will the Council ensure that they are cleaned up and that the litter, mattresses and tangle of undergrowth is removed in order to make them acceptable to the local residents?

REPLY:

The hedgerow in question is cleaned on a regular basis as part of routine maintenance works in the area.  The hedgerow will be cleaned again and the litter and mattress removed as soon as it can be scheduled in the area works programme.
