QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

To ask the Manager, further to the reply to my questions at both the March and April meetings, to provide a detailed update on the work of the Internal Taskforce established to prepare a strategy for the derelict piece of land adjacent to Droim Na Coille Estate, including the possible incorporation into adjoining properties or fencing to prevent ingress; and to further advise on a likely timeframe for planned consultations with adjoining residents?

REPLY:

This site was examined by a cross departmental task force as part of the Public Realm Initiative.  Long Term, Medium Term and Short Term solutions were proposed and these proposals are currently being examined.  A further report will issue in this regard. 

This site is due to be examined in the future as part of the Permeability Study being conducted by the Planning Department.
