MOTION NO. 12
MOTION: Councillor B. Bonner
That the Manager would present a report on the remedial works that have been done to the water pipes in the houses in St Mark's Estate which suffered loss of water last Winter because the pipes froze for a prolonged period. How many houses have had their pipes relaid deeper and how many houses remain to be done? What is the plan for the houses where there has been no remedial work done?
REPORT:
The Water Section is only aware of two water services that froze during last winter's cold spell in St. Mark's Estate. One was in St. Mark's Crescent and the other was in St. Mark's Grove. One is a Council house and one is privately owned. The Water Section will endeavour to lower both services before next winter in the footpath and up to the boundary wall of both houses only resources permitting.
