MOTION NO.5

MOTION: Councillor C. King

That this Committee calls on the Manager to investigate the possibility of obtaining funding for the provision of a MUGA or small play facilities for the children of St Dominic's Parish to be installed in the vicinity of the St Dominic's Community Centre at Avonbeg Gardens.

REPORT:

The Council recently sought funding support from the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport for MUGA's in a number of locations around the county. One of the locations was the nearby section the Dodder Valley Park which is close to this area and which could be utilised by the residents of St Dominics. It is expected that the outcome of the applications will be known shortly and the Members will be updated on the matter at that time.
