MOTION NO. 16

MOTION: Councillor E. Tuffy

That the Manager once again makes a submission to the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, requesting that South Dublin County Council be treated, in the matter of its allocation from the Local Government Fund in the 2012 Budget, in a manner that is equitable with comparable Local Authorities, especially Fingal and Dun Laoire Rathdown County Councils, ie that the Local Government Fund Grant per head of population is at least at the same level as that of Fingal CC, and that the submission, with an appropriate covering letter be sent to all Dail Deputies in the constituencies of Dublin Mid-West, Dublin South West and Dublin South.

REPORT:

Representations outlining the concerns of members about the local government fund allocated to South Dublin County Council will be conveyed to the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government and copied to the Dail Deputies in the constituencies of Dublin Mid-West, Dublin South West and Dublin South if the motion is passed.
