The Council at its meeting held on the 12th April 2010 approved the application from Cluid Housing Association for a loan in the sum of €552,174.27 under the Capital Loan and Subsidy Scheme subject to the approval of the Minister for the Environment, Heritage & Local Government in accordance with the requirements of Section 6 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1992.

The Council constructed two housing units (i) at 17 Kilcronan Grove, Clondalkin on land owned by Cluid Housing Association and (ii) at 78A Kilmahuddrick Road, Clondalkin on land owned by South Dublin County as part of a large contract.  The Council now wishes to transfer ownership of the property at 78A Kilmahuddrick Road, (Folio DN3784) as outlined in red on O.S Sheet No 3261 -C (i)  comprising an area of 375.867 sq. m. to Cluid Housing Association.  A resolution of members is required to dispose of the property in question.

Accordingly, the consent of the Council is sought to the disposal of the housing unit and land at 78A Kilmahuddrick Road subject to the provision of Section 183 of the Local Government Act 2001 and in accordance with Section 211of the Planning & Development Act 2000.

I recommend that the land and property referred to in the foregoing report as shown on the attached map be disposed of to Cluid Housing Association.
