QUESTION: Councillor J. Lahart

To ask the Manager to report on the management of the M50 particularly in terms of landscaping from the Lucan Interchange to Ballinteer and to make a statement on the matter?

REPLY:

The Roads Authority for the M50 (C-Ring) Motorway including the section within the administrative area of this Council, is the National Roads Authority. The NRA have entered into a long term maintenance and management agreement for the M50 Motorway through a Public Private Partnership arrangement. While this arrangement includes the management of the landscaping, the Council has no direct involvement on a day to day basis. Any specific queries received will be directed to the NRA and the Councillor will be informed when a reply is received.
