MEETING OF CLONDALKIN AREA COMMITTEE

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

QUESTION NO. 4

QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner

To ask the Manager could the residents of the Clondalkin Village area be assisted by the Council in their efforts to improve the appearance of the Village? They wish to plant flowers in planters and seek assistance in this regard. The Convent Road Residents Association have been in touch about this already.

REPLY:

The Park's Department has recently replaced the refurbished plant containers back on the traffic islands in Clondalkin Village, including on the island at the end of Convent Road.  In regard to further planting at Convent Road, Council staff would be happy to meet with representatives of local residents to discuss the matter further and to establish the level of assistance being sought.
