MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor M. Corr

That the Manager details the number and nature of any residential units in the Council ownership that are currently being used for other activities such as agency work etc.

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council currently has 20 residential units let to organisations working in the community, for the benefit of the community in which they are based.  A listing of the units is available to the meeting.  A nominal rent is paid each year to the Housing Department for the use of the dwelling.  

The Council has numerous requests for such lettings each year from many varied groups but all are resisted except in the most extenuating circumstances.

Community Department are examing their records and will provide a list of any lettings that they have at a later date.
