MOTION NO. 19

MOTION: Councillor T. Ridge

That the Manager present an up to date report be regarding the lands on the 9th Lock Road concerning health and safety issues and the dreadful appearance of the whole stretch of 9th Lock Road.

REPORT:

The lands in question are in private ownership and  may no longer be under the control of the registered owners.  In the circumstances, the Council has written to the National Asset Management Agency to ascertain if the lands are under its control and any future proposals for the lands.  This matter has also been referred to the Council's Architects Department for an inspection to be carried out under the Sanitary Services Act, to determine if the lands are in a dangerous condition.
