QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney
"To ask the Manager to consider installing a Yield sign at the St Brendan's Crescent side of the junction between the start of St Brendan's Crescent (northwestern end) and St James' Rd, Greenhills, as on similar roundabouts in the area, and to make a statement on the matter?"
REPLY:
Yield markings are in place at this location to indicate to traffic on St James’ Road the need to yield. There is no sign in place at this location because a suitable safe location cannot be found. The appropriate location for such a sign would be in front of the driveway of the house fronting this road. It should be noted that approach roads to roundabout have equal priority and as such all traffic should yield to on coming traffic on the roundabout whether indicated by the road signage or not.
