MOTION NO. 2

MOTION: Councillor T. Ridge

In welcoming the cleanup and the new footpath at the corner of the 9th Lock Road and Nangor Road, that the Manager present a report on any proposals for the removal of the advertising signs to further enhance this area.

REPORT:

A Warning Letter pursuant to Section 152 of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended), issued on 13th September 2011 to the businesses advertised on the signage in question.  The persons served may make submissions or observations in writing to the Planning Authority not later than four weeks from the date of the service of the Warning Letter, i.e.  13th October 2011.

Following the expiry of the Warning Letter and upon further investigation it is considered that unauthorised development is taking place, an Enforcement Notice may be served.  The Councillor will be updated as the investigation progresses.
